This book was excellent!!!!!!!!! Marissa Wilson (Louisville native) writes this novel about a fiesty independent woman named Brooklyn Bridges who is a go-getter and all about her business. She doesn't take many mess from anyone and she doesn't bite her tongue! While she is being totally professional with one of the celebrities that she has booked for an event (Giovanni Lay) she can't ignore how drop-dead gorgous he is.While I will not spoil the book for you, it is definately a page-turner! You have humor, lust, drama, hurt and of course love in this 222 page novel but you will absolutely want more! Do I smell a sequel in the works!?!?!?!?!? A MUST read!!!!! Great job!

This is definitely a must read! I just finished it. Marissa Wilson has done a superb job with this book. I wish the story went on longer. I would like to see a sequel come out of it and a screen play. The writing is so real and descriptive, as a reader you will visualize everything! Especially the "naughty" parts. My girl really knows how to break it on down! FIVE STARS! I love it.

Wilson's characters are believable and interest keepers. The supporting cast is just as great as the main characters. "Tha Dogg" was one of my favorites because everyone successful person has a friend at their back.
Some of the "name dropping" was a little distracting. That is my only negative.
Wilson writes a fantastic sex scene. Her descriptions are romantic and sensual. That's a fine line many writers cannot work with such ease.
I enjoyed and look forward to reading more from this author.
I purchased "Needle in a Haystack" last year at a book signing and forgot to give my review of the book until recently. I read the book and fell in love with the characters immediately!!!! I am sorry it took so long but I had put it on the shelf and forgotten about it until I moved some furniture around and the book fell off the shelf during the process. I felt it was a sign to get online and let my dear sister from the "Westend" know what Deva thought of her book. I thoroughly enjoyed it!!! It wasn't too long and the storyline was AMAZING!!!!! It wasn't too street and keep my attetion all the way to the end!!! It really was a great read. The intimacy had the right amount of steam for an adult like myself who is always reading some sort of paranormal romance with some heat to it!!!
It was funny, romantic and very entertaining!! Although, I mainly read paranormal romance novels, I am glad I met the author and made this purchase. I have even recommended it to a few fellow reading buddies of mine. It is a good change of pace to read about normal people and life and not find it boring.
Hey Marissa, maybe in the future you can think about a paranormal romance with a strong African American hero and heroine...just sayin

This book was a slow read, characters and plot very predictable. I gave it two stars because I did not completely hate it.
Had me hooked from start to finish. Marissa made all the characters real. This novel can easily be adapted for a hit movie. Everyone should read this authentic and well written book. You easily cheer for Brook and Giovanni to make it. I can't wait to read the sequel. Excellent Mel
Where to start..this book had everything from drama to real in your face romance..it takes you through the ups and downs of the music industry. At some points in the books, all I could do was laugh out loud, it felt as if I was there in the scenes..
Gio and Brook...blazing hot!!!! Think about Power couple in the Entertainment world...this is a must read!!!!
It took me back to my college days with my girlfriends and all the drama that went down between the 5 of us)
